One Laser Session, Real Results: Why It Works and What Happens Next

We recently shared a before and after from one of our clients after just one laser hair removal session, and the difference genuinely surprised people. Watch the reel here. But it also raised a fair question: if one session does this much, why do you need more than one?

Why the results look this good already

Hair does not all grow at the same time. It moves through cycles, active growth, transition, and rest, and laser can only effectively treat hair that is in that active growth phase. At any given moment, only around 10 to 30 percent of your hair (depending on the area) is actually in that phase and visible to the laser. Everything else is dormant that day.

So after one session, the hairs that were growing get treated and fall away, which is exactly why the result can look so dramatic straight away. The catch is that the resting hairs are still there, just waiting their turn, and they will grow through in the weeks that follow.

What to expect after your first session

This is where a full course comes in. A typical course runs 6 to 8 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, timed to catch each new batch of hair as it cycles into that active growth phase. Between sessions, regrowth tends to come back finer, sparser and slower than before, so the change builds gradually rather than all at once.

The takeaway

One session shows you what is possible. A full course is what gets you there. If the before and after has you curious about starting your own journey, we would love to see you in clinic. Book a free consultation and patch test today using the button below.
