It depends on your skin and what you’d like to work on. We offer treatments including HydraFacial, deep cleanse, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, microneedling, LED light therapy and facials for concerns such as acne, redness and dullness. If you’re unsure, get in touch and we can help you choose.
-
We’ll talk about your skin, your goals and any relevant health or skincare information before starting. This helps us tailor the treatment to you and check that it’s suitable.
-
A HydraFacial cleanses and exfoliates the skin, removes impurities and adds hydration with serums. Microdermabrasion focuses on exfoliating the skin’s surface. We can help you decide which may suit your skin and goals.
-
Dermaplaning gently exfoliates the skin’s surface and removes fine facial hair. Your skin may feel smoother afterwards. We’ll assess your skin first to make sure it’s the right treatment for you.
-
Microneedling uses fine needles to create controlled microchannels in the skin. Your skin may look red or feel sensitive afterwards, and results develop over time. We’ll discuss suitability, expected recovery and aftercare at your consultation.
-
Most facials feel comfortable, though sensations vary depending on the treatment and your skin. Some treatments can leave temporary redness or sensitivity. We’ll explain what to expect before we begin.
-
Arrive with clean skin if possible, and tell us about your current skincare routine, allergies, skin concerns and any relevant health information. We’ll give you any extra preparation advice for your chosen treatment.
-
Aftercare depends on the treatment. Your therapist will explain what to do, including when to return to your usual skincare products, makeup and exercise.
-
Some treatments or products may not be suitable in these circumstances. Please tell us before booking and share any relevant medical advice you’ve received. We’ll check which options are appropriate for you.
-
That depends on the treatment, your skin and your goals. Some people book a one-off facial, while others follow a course or regular plan. We’ll suggest a schedule after assessing your skin.
Hydrafacial
-
A Hydrafacial is a non-invasive, multi-step facial treatment that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant protection. It uses a specialised device that suctions out impurities while simultaneously infusing the skin with nourishing serums. The treatment aims to improve overall skin health and address specific concerns like dryness, fine lines, congestion, and hyperpigmentation.
-
Some of the benefits of a Hydrafacial include:
Deeply cleanses and exfoliates the skin, removing dead skin cells and congestion.
Hydrates and nourishes the skin, leaving it moisturised and plump.
Improves skin tone and texture, promoting a more even complexion.
Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Minimises the appearance of pores and blackheads.
Provides antioxidant protection to help combat free radicals and environmental damage.
-
Yes, one of the great advantages of a Hydrafacial is its suitability for all skin types. The treatment is customisable and can be tailored to address specific concerns or sensitivities. Whether you have dry, oily, sensitive, or combination skin, a Hydrafacial can be adjusted to meet your individual needs.
-
The duration of a Hydrafacial treatment can vary depending on the specific protocols used and the customisation required. On average, a single session typically takes around 30 to 60 minutes. However, it's important to consult with your skincare professional to get a precise estimate based on your unique circumstances.
-
Hydrafacial is generally considered a gentle and non-irritating treatment, with minimal side effects and no downtime. Some individuals may experience temporary redness, mild tightness, or slight sensitivity immediately after the treatment, but these effects typically subside within a few hours. It is a popular treatment because it allows individuals to resume their regular activities immediately following the session.
Deep Cleanse Facial
-
A deep cleanse facial is a skincare treatment that focuses on thoroughly cleansing and purifying the skin. It typically involves a combination of cleansing, exfoliation, steam, extractions, and targeted mask application. The goal is to remove impurities, excess oil, and dead skin cells to leave the skin refreshed, balanced, and rejuvenated.
-
A deep cleanse facial can be particularly beneficial for acne-prone skin. The treatment helps remove pore-clogging impurities, bacteria, and excess oil, reducing the likelihood of breakouts. It also helps to unclog pores, allowing for better product penetration and absorption. The exfoliation involved in a deep cleanse facial can promote cell turnover and help prevent future acne flare-ups.
-
Yes, a deep cleanse facial is effective in addressing clogged pores and blackheads. The exfoliation and extraction steps of the facial treatment can help remove the buildup of debris, dead skin cells, and sebum that contribute to clogged pores. Skin specialists perform gentle and careful extractions to remove blackheads, minimising their appearance and promoting clearer skin.
-
The frequency of deep cleanse facials for optimal results depends on several factors, including your skin type, concerns, and lifestyle. For most individuals, receiving a deep cleanse facial every 4 to 6 weeks is recommended to maintain skin clarity and prevent excessive buildup. However, it's essential to consult with your skin therapist, as they can assess your skin and provide personalised recommendations.
-
After a deep cleanse facial, it's important to follow the post-care instructions provided by your skin therapist. This typically includes avoiding excessive touching or picking at the skin, refraining from applying heavy makeup immediately, and using gentle, non-irritating skincare products that support the benefits of the facial. Additionally, it's crucial to protect the skin from sun exposure by applying sunscreen.
LED Facial
-
An LED facial is a skincare treatment that uses light-emitting diode (LED) technology to rejuvenate and improve the skin. It involves exposing the skin to specific wavelengths of light to stimulate cellular activity. Different colours of LED light target specific skin concerns, such as acne, inflammation, and signs of aging. The light energy is absorbed by the skin cells, triggering various beneficial reactions and promoting healthier-looking skin.
-
LED therapy offers several benefits for the skin, including:
Reduction of acne breakouts by targeting the bacteria that contribute to acne.
Anti-inflammatory effects, soothing redness and irritation.
Stimulation of collagen production, promoting a firmer and more youthful appearance.
Improved skin tone and texture, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Acceleration of wound healing and post-treatment recovery.
Overall skin rejuvenation and a brighter complexion.
-
Yes, LED facials can be effective in addressing specific skin concerns. Blue LED light is commonly used to target acne-causing bacteria and reduce breakouts. Red LED light stimulates collagen production, helping to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin. Some LED devices also offer additional wavelengths, such as yellow or green, which can have specific benefits like reducing redness or evening out skin tone.
-
The duration of an LED facial session can vary depending on the specific protocols and treatment areas. Generally, a single LED facial session lasts between 15 to 30 minutes. However, the exact time may differ based on the device being used and the skincare professional's approach. Multiple sessions may be recommended to achieve desired results.
-
LED facials are non-invasive and generally have no downtime or discomfort associated with them. The treatment is gentle and painless, with most individuals finding it relaxing and soothing. Unlike more aggressive facial treatments, LED facials do not require recovery time, and you can typically resume your regular activities immediately after the session.
Microdermabrasion
-
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive skincare treatment that uses a specialised device to exfoliate the outermost layer of the skin. It works by gently spraying tiny crystals or using a diamond-tipped wand to remove dead skin cells and debris. The exfoliation process helps to reveal smoother, brighter skin and stimulates cellular turnover.
-
Microdermabrasion offers several benefits for skin rejuvenation, including:
Improved skin texture and tone.
Reduction of dullness and uneven pigmentation.
Diminished appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Minimisation of pore size and blackheads.
Promotion of collagen production, leading to firmer skin.
Enhanced absorption of skincare products.
Overall revitalisation and a youthful glow.
-
Yes, microdermabrasion can be effective in reducing the appearance of certain types of scars and fine lines. It works by promoting cellular turnover and exfoliating the outer layer of the skin, which can help to improve the texture and smoothness of the skin. However, for deep or severe scars, other treatments such as laser therapy or chemical peels may be more suitable.
-
The frequency of microdermabrasion treatments can vary depending on factors such as your skin type, concerns, and the recommendation of your skincare professional. In general, it is recommended to have a series of treatments, typically spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart, to achieve optimal results. After the initial series, maintenance treatments every 1 to 3 months may be recommended.
-
After microdermabrasion, it's important to follow the post-treatment care instructions provided by your skincare professional, as they may vary based on your specific needs. Generally, it involves:
Avoiding direct sun exposure and using sunscreen.
Applying moisturiser to keep the skin hydrated.
Refraining from using abrasive or harsh skincare products.
Keeping the skin clean and gently cleansing it.
Avoiding excessive touching or picking at the treated area.
Anti-aging facial
-
An anti-aging facial typically involves a combination of cleansing, exfoliation, targeted treatments, and rejuvenating techniques to address signs of aging. This may include the use of specialised products, such as serums, masks, and moisturisers, that are formulated to hydrate the skin, boost collagen production, and improve overall skin texture and appearance.
-
Anti-aging facials address signs of aging by targeting specific concerns. They may incorporate techniques such as facial massage and lymphatic drainage to stimulate collagen production, improve circulation, and promote skin elasticity. Additionally, anti-aging facials often include ingredients like hyaluronic acid, peptides, and antioxidants to nourish and plump the skin.
-
Yes, anti-aging facials can help improve skin texture and firmness. The exfoliation and targeted treatments in these facials promote cell turnover, increase collagen and elastin production, and enhance the overall tone and elasticity of the skin. Regular anti-aging facials can help maintain a smoother, more supple complexion and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
-
Anti-aging facials may incorporate specific ingredients and treatments tailored to address signs of aging. These can include ingredients like retinol, vitamin C, peptides, and growth factors, which have been shown to have anti-aging properties. Treatments such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, or LED therapy may also be incorporated to further enhance the effects of the facial.
-
The effects of an anti-aging facial can vary depending on individual factors such as skin type, age, and lifestyle. Generally, the immediate results of an anti-aging facial, such as improved hydration and a radiant glow, can last for a few days to a week. However, for long-lasting effects and ongoing improvement, regular and consistent treatment sessions are recommended.
Dermaplaning
-
Dermaplaning uses a sterile blade to gently remove dead skin cells and fine facial hair, leaving your skin feeling smoother. We offer 30 and 55 minute appointments.
-
No. Dermaplaning removes fine surface hair and doesn’t change how it grows back.
-
It may not be suitable if you have active breakouts, broken skin or a skin infection. We’ll check your skin before we start.
-
Your skin may be more sensitive to the sun afterwards, so wear SPF and avoid strong exfoliants for a few days. Your therapist will talk you through everything.
Contouring Facial
-
A 55 minute facial designed to leave your face looking more sculpted, lifted and refreshed.
-
Anyone who wants their skin to look firmer and more defined, or who’d like a facial that feels restorative as well as results focused.
-
Most people can go straight back to their day.
Bespoke Facials
-
We have five facials, each designed around a different skin concern: Bright Side for dull or uneven skin, Acne Buster for breakouts and congestion, Redness Rescue for flushed or reactive skin, Dewy Dreams for dry or dehydrated skin, and Barrier Repair for skin that feels sensitised, tight or irritated.
-
It depends on what your skin needs most right now. We’ll look at your skin and talk through your concerns at your appointment, and we can recommend the best fit if you’re unsure.
-
It’s designed to calm and support skin that’s become sensitised, for example from over exfoliating, harsh products or changes in the weather, helping it feel comfortable and balanced again.
-
No facial can cure acne, but regular treatments alongside the right home routine can help keep skin clearer. For persistent or severe acne, we’d also recommend speaking to your GP.
-
It can help soothe the look of redness, but it isn’t a medical treatment. If you’ve been diagnosed with a skin condition, please tell us before booking.
-
Most people can go straight back to their day. Some temporary redness can happen, particularly after the Acne Buster Facial, and usually settles within a few hours.
Microneedling
-
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure that involves creating tiny punctures in the skin using a specialised device with fine needles. These micro-injuries stimulate the skin's natural healing response, triggering the production of collagen and elastin. The newly formed collagen helps improve skin texture, firmness, and elasticity.
-
Microneedling offers several benefits for skin rejuvenation, including:
Reduction of fine lines, wrinkles, and crow's feet.
Improvement in the appearance of acne scars and other types of scars.
Reduction of hyperpigmentation and age spots.
Enhancement of skin texture and smoothness.
Minimisation of pore size and improvement in overall skin tone.
Increased absorption and effectiveness of skincare products.
-
Yes, microneedling can be effective in reducing the appearance of scars, including acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks. It helps break down scar tissue and stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin, resulting in smoother and more even skin texture. Microneedling can also help reduce hyperpigmentation by promoting the turnover of skin cells and the fading of excess pigment.
-
The number of microneedling sessions recommended can vary depending on the specific skin concerns, the severity of the condition, and individual response to the treatment. Typically, a series of 3 to 6 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. However, your skincare professional can assess your skin and provide a personalised recommendation based on your needs.
-
After microneedling, there is typically some mild redness and sensitivity in the treated area, which may last for a day or two. It's important to follow the aftercare instructions provided by your skincare professional, which may include avoiding sun exposure, wearing sunscreen, avoiding makeup for a day or two, and using gentle skincare products. Your skincare professional will guide you on the proper post-treatment care to ensure optimal healing and results.
Chemical Peels
-
A chemical peel uses a professional solution to exfoliate the outer layers of the skin, helping to improve texture, tone, dullness and breakouts. We use Clinicare Professional Peels, and we’ll choose the right peel for your skin at your consultation.
-
Not always. Some peels cause visible flaking a few days after treatment, while others leave little or no peeling. How much you peel doesn’t decide how well it’s worked.
-
We’ll check your skin, skincare routine and medical history first. Some medications, skincare ingredients and skin conditions may mean a peel isn’t right for you yet, so please tell us about anything relevant.
-
Some people see a difference after one peel, but a course usually gives the best results. We’ll recommend a plan based on your skin and goals.
-
Wear SPF every day, don’t pick or pull at any flaking skin, and avoid exfoliants and active products until your therapist says it’s fine to restart them. You’ll get full aftercare advice on the day.
Bacial
-
A bacial, or back facial, is a skincare treatment that focuses on cleansing, exfoliating, and nourishing the skin on the back. It typically involves a series of steps, including deep cleansing, gentle exfoliation, steam, extractions (if necessary), treatment masks, and moisturising. The goal is to address specific skin concerns on the back, such as acne, congestion, or dryness.
-
The benefits of a bacial include:
Deep cleansing the skin, removing impurities and dead skin cells.
Unclogging pores and reducing congestion or blackheads.
Smoothing and softening the skin texture.
Hydrating and nourishing the skin.
Relaxation and stress relief.
Improvement in the appearance of acne or blemishes on the back.
-
Yes, a bacial can be particularly helpful in addressing back acne or "bacne." The deep cleansing, exfoliation, and targeted treatments in a bacial help to remove excess oil, unclog pores, and reduce inflammation, which are common contributors to back acne. The treatment can promote clearer and smoother skin on the back.
-
The frequency of bacials depends on individual skin concerns and preferences. For general maintenance and skin rejuvenation, having a bacial every 4 to 6 weeks is often recommended. However, if you have specific concerns or more severe acne on the back, your skincare professional may suggest a more frequent schedule to help address the issue effectively.
-
After a bacial, it's important to follow some aftercare steps to maintain and maximise the results:
Avoid excessive sweating or activities that may cause friction on the back for a few hours after the treatment.
Keep the back clean and avoid using heavy or greasy skincare products that may clog the pores.
Apply a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturiser to keep the skin hydrated.
Protect the back from direct sun exposure by wearing sunscreen or protective clothing.
